QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Professor:
Candidates should possess Ph D degree from a recognized institution in their areas of specialization plus twelve (12) years of experience in teaching and research. They should able to develop new programmes, conduct research independently and have proven supervisory and administrative capabilities. They must show evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals both national and international.
Reader:
Candidates should possess Ph D degree from a recognized institution in their areas of specialization plus ten (10) years of experience in teaching and research. They should be able to develop new programmes, conduct independent research and have proven supervisory and administrative capabilities. They must show evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals both national and international.
Senior Lecturer:
Candidates should possess Ph D degree from a recognized institution in their areas of specialization with at least six (6) years cognate experience of teaching and research and must produce evidence of good record of publications in reputable journals.
Lecturer I:
Candidates should have Ph D degree plus three years post qualification experience and should demonstrate ability to carry out research in areas of experience. Masters degree holders with five (5) years teaching/research experience and evidence of good record of publications in reputable journals are eligible.
Lecturer II:
Candidates should possess Master’s degree in relevant field plus two (2) years teaching/research experience.
Assistant Lecturer:
Candidate should possess master’s degree in relevant field plus at least one-year experience.
Principal Librarian:
Candidates should possess Ph D degree from a recognized institution in their areas of specialization with at least six (6) years cognate experience and show evidence of good record of publications in reputable journals. Candidates should also show evidence of registration with LRCN.
Senior Librarian:
Candidates should have Ph D degree plus three years post qualification experience and should demonstrate ability to carry out research in areas of experience. Masters degree holders with five (5) years cognate experience and evidence of good record of publications in reputable journals are eligible. Candidates should also show evidence of
registration with LRCN.
Assistant Librarian:
Candidates should possess master’s degree in relevant field plus at least one-year experience and evidence of registration with LRCN Graduate Assistant (Library). Candidates should possess Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science with at least Second Class Honours Lower Division plus evidence of registration with LRCN.
Library Officer:
Candidates should possess a Diploma in Library and Information Science.
Computer Analyst/Programmer (Library):
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with at least Second Class Honours (Lower Division) plus NYSC.
System Analyst II:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with at least Second Class Honours (Lower Division) or HND at lower credit Level plus NYSC.
Medical Officer:
Candidates should possess a minimum of MBBS degree plus NYSC.
Staff Nurse:
Candidates should possess Certificate of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria with evidence of Registration as a General Nurse in Nigeria.
Pharmacy Technician:
Candidates should possess a 3-year diploma from a recognized School of Health Technology plus evidence of registration with relevant Professional Bodies.
Medical Laboratory Technician:
Candidate should possess a 3-year diploma from a recognized School of Health Technology plus evidence of registration with relevant Professional Bodies.
Technologist:
Candidates should possess membership N.I.S.T., I.M.L.T., Bsc, HND or equivalent qualifications relevant to the Department they are applying.
Confidential Secretary:
Candidates should possess 120/100 WPM, OND, HND at at least Lower Credit level or Bachelor’s Degree in Secretarial Studies with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) plus NYSC.
CONDITION OF SERVICE
Successful candidates will be on probation for two years after which they may be confirmed to retirement age if their services are considered satisfactory. Non Nigerians may be offered contract appointment for a period of three (3) years which may be renewed for another term plus a 25% contract addition payable to those who qualify in lieu of pension.
