York University Canada Scholarship Application Form.
The York University, Ontario, Canada wishes to inform international students pursuing undergraduate programme admission that scholarship application has commenced. You do not need an offer of admission to submit the international scholarship and awards application.
Undergraduate Program Available:
The following programs are accepting applications;
- Arts, Media, Performance & Design: Cinema & Media Arts (BA), Dance, Digital Media, Music, Visual Art
Environmental Studies. - Glendon: All programs except Translation (for upper-year and second-degree entry).
- Health: All programs except Kinesiology & Health Science, Nursing: Collaborative (York-Seneca-Georgian) and Nursing: Second Entry.
- Lassonde School of Engineering: Computer Science, Computer Security, Digital Media, Earth & Atmospheric Science.
- Liberal Arts & Professional Studies: All programs except Children’s Studies, Communication Studies, Criminology, Professional Writing, Social Work.
- Science: Biology, Chemistry, Computational Math, Mathematics, Mathematics for Commerce, Mathematics for Education, Physics & Astronomy, Science & Technology Studies.
Scholarship Types:
I) International Circle of Scholars Scholarships – $15,000.
II) Global Leader of Tomorrow Award ($20,000 x 4 years) – $80,000.
III) International Entrance Scholarship ($35,000 x 4 years) – $140,000.
Scholarship Details/ Eligibility:
1) International Circle of Scholars Scholarship: Awarded to international students (required to have a study permit for Canada) entering the first year of a full-time undergraduate degree program in the Arts, Media, Performance & Design, Liberal Arts and Professional Studies, Environmental Studies, Glendon, Health, Science, Lassonde School of Engineering or Schulich School of Business. Applicants must be nominated by their high school, have outstanding academic achievement (‘A’ average or equivalent). Applicants must have graduated from secondary school within the past two years. This award is for the first year of study only.
2) Global Leader of Tomorrow Award: Highest academic average. Leadership and demonstrated skills. To renew – must have a high academic standing (7.80 on a 9-point York scale) in each academic year at York.
3) International Entrance Scholarship: Highest academic average. Demonstrated leadership skill. Letters of recommendation. To renew – maintain a high academic standing (7.80 on a 9-point York scale) in each academic year at York.
