The 125 overseas scholarship beneficiaries would study medical sciences, engineering, applied and natural sciences in Malaysia, Ghana, South Africa, India, New Zealand, Egypt and Uganda.
Governor Yero said during the award presentation that the 2014/2015 Overseas Scholarship was aimed at improving the human capital to accelerate socio-economic development of the state.
He said the candidates were selected after a thorough screening exercise with all the 23 local government areas equitably represented.
A further breakdown shown that there are 22 PhD, 77 MSc and 26 MBBS candidates for the scholarship.
