As part of strategic efforts in making Salem University more robust in delivering qualitative services for the realisation of its vision, the governing council of Salem University (SU), Lokoja has approved appointment of four new professors for the University.
They are Profesor Odabi Odabi as Dean of College of Information and Communication Technology; Professor Dorcas Oluade, Dean of Postgraduate School; Professor Adewale Adeniran as head of department Management Sciences and Professor Sunday Okpanachi who is to oversee the Directorate of academic Planning.
In another development, the Chancellor of the University, Dr. Sam Amaga, has admonished staff of the University to uphold the vision and philosophy behind the establishment of the University as this guarantee the fulfillment of the mission University.
He gave the charge during an engagement visit with staff and students of the University recently. He emphasised the need for every staff of the University to understand and run with the vision of the University and interpret this vision through their words and actions.
Dr. Sam Amaga, further encouraged staff to seek out ways of developing the natural abilities of students and groom them to become great leaders irrespective of their course of study.
