RSUST Sandwich Programmes Admission Form Details.
Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates for admission into 2019/2020 sandwich Undergraduate, Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Programme of the Rivers State University (RSU), Port Harcourt.
A. UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES:
(i) Department of Adult Education and Community Development
B.Sc in Adult Education and Community Development.
(ii) Department of Business Education
B.Sc in Business Education with options in:-
a. Accountancy
b. Management
c. Office Management and Technology
d. Marketing.
(iii) Educational Management
B.Sc in Educational Management.
(iv) Department of Science Education
B.Sc in Science Education with Options in:-
a. Biology Education
b. Chemistry Education
c. Physics Education
d. Mathematics Education
e. Integrated Science
f. Environmental Education.
(v) Department of Vocational and Technical Education
1. B.Sc in Agricultural Education
2. B.Sc in Technical Education with Options in:-

Minimum Entry Requirements: For a 2 year Degree Programmes (2 Sandwich Years*), Applicants must possess an NCE or OND certificates in Agricultural Education, Business Education, Science Education and Technical Education; an NCE in any subject combination for Adult Education and Community Development and Educational Management programmes.
Candidates with passes at credit/ merit Level in two major subjects of the Associate Diploma in Education are also eligible.
In addition to the above, such candidates must possess relevant ‘O’ Level requirement or its equivalent and /or NABTEB credit/ merit including English Language and mathematics.
Note: A Sandwich year includes long vacation, (July/August) Christmas and Easter vacations.
B. POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES:
Available Post Graduate Diploma programmes are as follows:
1. PGDE: (Postgraduate Diploma in Education)
2. PGDTE (Postgraduate Diploma in vocational/Technology Education)
3. PGDBE: (Postgraduate Diploma in Business Education)
4. PGDSE: (Postgraduate Diploma in Science Education)
Admission Requirements:
(i) Candidates with the first degree not less than a third class awarded by any recognized institution/university.
(ii) Higher National Diploma (HND) not less than lower credit or its equivalent in any subject discipline or its equivalent in any Technical subject/disciple(for PGDTE only), awarded by any recognized institution
PROGRAMME DURATION: One Sandwich Year.

Candidates for Master’s degree shall possess a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in the relevant field of study, or PGDE/PGDTE obtained from Rivers State University or any other recognized Institution of higher learning of equivalent status.
PROGRAMME DURATION: Two Sandwich Years.

Candidates for Doctor of Philosophy Degree shall possess a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in the relevant field of study, or PGDE/PGDTE obtained from Rivers State University or any other recognized Institution of higher learning of equivalent status.
PROGRAMME DURATION: Four Sandwich Years.
Method of Application:
- Applications for admission shall be made on-line by logging onto www.rsu.edu.ng and making e-payment of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) for Undergraduate and Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000.00) for Postgraduate programmes using inter-switch verve enabled cards.
- Application forms should be completed on-line, downloaded and hard copies submitted to the secretary, Institute of Education, accompanied by photocopies of relevant credentials and proof of payment.
Closing Date:
Closing Date for the application is midnight of Friday, July 17, 2020, while lectures Start on Monday, July 20, 2020. Hostel accommodation is available at an affordable cost.
