About 5,000 students of the Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke received their certificates during the combined convocation ceremony of the institution held on Saturday, 17th January, 2015.
The Rector of the institution, Dr. Augustus Oke, who spoke at the event said that the categories of awards for graduands include: Advanced Certificates, National and Higher National Diplomas for both full-time and part-time students.
Oke blamed stakeholders in the education sector for the falling standard of education in Nigeria.
According to him, the lack of commitment on the part of stakeholders was one of the major factors responsible for the appalling state of education in the country.
He noted that the combined lukewarm attitude to education by government, teachers, students and even parents accounted for the dwindling fortune of education in the country.
