Federal Poly Offa Gets New Rector.
The Federal Government has approved the appointment of Dr. Lateef Ademola Olatunji, as the fourth substantive Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Offa.
This was revealed in a statement signed by the Registrar of the institution, Abdulhamid Raji, who noted that the appointment was effective from December 28, 2016.
Olatunji, 54, attended the Anglican College of Commerce, Offa and thereafter went to the Kwara State College of Technology, now Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin for Advanced Level Programme moderated by the University of Cambridge between 1979 and 1981.
He went to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, for Bachelor’s degree in Economics and graduated in 1984.
Olatunji joined Federal Polytechnic Offa in 1996 as a Senior Lecturer and rose to become a Chief Lecturer.
He was at different times Head of the Departments of Financial Studies (1996-1997), Accountancy (1997-2000); Director, School of Business and Management Studies (2000-2006); Director, PolyConsult (2004-2005); Dean, Student Affairs, and Chairman, Polytechnic Sports Committee (2009-2011) among others.
