A lecturer at the Obafemi
Omisore was said to be on his way to a burial ceremony in Oye-Ekiti when the gunmen attacked him in Ado-Ekiti, killing his driver in the process.
It was gathered that the kidnappers killed the driver because he refused to stop when he spotted the dare-devils.
The gunmen set Omisore’s car ablaze and took him to an unknown destination.
The Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU OAU chapter, Dr. Caleb Aborisade, who confirmed the incident, said that the kidnappers are asking for a ransom of N70 million from the family of the lecturer.
He however appealed to the abductor to release the lecturer, as the family is not rich and could not afford to pay such a huge amount of money.

It is very unfortunate that a lecturer can be kidnapped! What a bad news to hear! I Earnestly pray that the abductors should free him!
