Obafemi Awolowo University Closed Over Students’ Protest
The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife has ordered the closure of the university over the persistent student’s protest.
It will be recalled that the students of the university took to the streets on Monday to protest against the poor living condition in their hostels.
The students said that the ?epileptic power and poor water supply had made the OAU halls of residence not conducive for habitation
However, the Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr. Abiodun Olanrewaju, refuted the claim that the institution had been shut down, saying that the authorities only gave the students a mid semester break.
