OAU Management Denies Disease Outbreak On Campus.
The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife has denied reports of a virus disease outbreak in the university campus.
According to a press release from the institution, the alleged outbreak which was circulated on social media by one faceless “Dr. Ilesanmi”, is false and unfounded.
The statement said that there is no Doctor by the name Ilesanmi in the university’s Health Centre.
It further clarified that the few students attended to at the medical centre were just cases of malaria and exam stress coupled with heat from climate change.
It assured the OAU community that there is no cause for alarm.
