This was disclosed by the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mr Thomas Yamma, during the inauguration of their three-week orientation progamme at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Wamakko on Thursday.
Yamma said arrangements had been made by NYSC, the State Government, security agencies and federal agencies to ensure the safety, comfort and welfare of the corps members.
He appealed to the state government to assist in feeding the corps members during the orientation.
Gov. Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto state promised to continue to do his best to ensure the success of the scheme at all times.
Wamakko, represented by the Commissioner for Social Welfare, Alhaji Zubairu Yari, urged the corps members to uphold honesty, patriotism and dedication to duty as the lofty ideals of the scheme.
Chairman, state NYSC Governing Board, Alhaji Halliru Tambuwal, who is also the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youths, promised not to relent in making the exercise safe and memorable for the corps members. (NAN)
