A member of the National Youth Service Corps, serving at the Edo College, Benin was murdered by armed robbers last Saturday.
The deceased, identified as David Onyeasina, was reported to have gone to buy recharge card when the robbers pounced and shot him dead.
The 21-year-old corps member was a graduate of Fine and Applied Arts from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho.
Confirming the incident, the Edo State Police Command spokesman, DSP Stephen Onwochei, said that two of the armed robbers have been arrested.
He listed items recovered from the robbers to include two cut-to-size guns, nine live cartridges, 10 mobile phones and jewellery belonging to their victims.
This is the second time an NYSC member was murdered gruesomely in as many weeks following the killing of a female youth corper in Ilorin, Kwara state last two weeks.
