• The Federal Government has pledged to look into the controversy surrounding the new policy instituted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for candidates seeking for admission into tertiary institutions in the country.

Speaking after briefing President Muhammadu Buhari on the activities of the ministry, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, MacJohn Nwaobiala, said that the matter was being resolved as consultations were on to see where adjustments can be made.

Nwaobiala, urged students who made the cut-off marks to proceed to their universities of first and second choices to write the post-UTME screening test.

It will be recalled that JAMB had earlier announced that some candidates will be re-posted to balance the admission quota of various tertiary institutions in Nigeria. (NAN)
