The Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi, has appointed a new rector for the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT). He also inaugurated the new Governing Council of the institution.
The new rector is Professor Augustine Uchechukwu Nweze.
Those appointed into the new council include Dr. Festus Uzor, who will serve as chairman, Dr. Emmanuel Igiligi, Pharmacist Cyril Aniwike, Mr. David Sunday Onwuegbu and Prof. Gabriel O. Agbo.
The nominees of the Academic Board of the Institution are Dr. Mrs Ogoo Okanya and Dr. Innocent Eze and the Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Education.
Chairman of the new council, Dr. Uzor, who spoke on behalf of the other members pledged to work assiduously and in line with the terms of reference for the team to reinvent the greatness of IMT.
