Imo State University IMSU Medical students Protest In Owerri
Students of Imo state university took to the streets in Owerri asking the Governor to tell them their fate n the ongoing strike in the institution. The students, some of which have been in school for more than 12years are calling on the governor to address the strike in the hospital as the Nigeria Medical and Dental Council (NMC) accreditation team whom are expected by April may withdraw the school’s accreditation.
“After making us spend 10 years and more in school, they won’t want to give us man power to be like other schools. It’s so pathetic that they come out to the press and make empty promises. I just hope and pray that they would listen to our cry.” one of the student protesters lamented
