The Igbajo Polytechnic in Osun State has gotten the approval of the National Youth Service Corps to present its graduates for the one-year compulsory service scheme.
This was disclosed by the Rector of the polytechnic, Mr. Tanimowo Oke, at a meeting with members of the institution’s Board of Trustees.
The approval, Oke said, was given by the NYSC leadership in a letter with ref. no. NYSC/DHQ/CM/M/124/22, dated April 29, 2015.
The letter read, “I am directed to inform you that after a careful consideration of your application viz-a-viz the records from National Board for Technical Education, your institution has been included in the list of corps producing institutions with institution code OS00020.”
The rector expressed happiness at the approval and thanked the management of NYSC considering the application of the institution.
