The Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Prof. Rosemund Green-Osahogulu was kidnapped last Thursday by unknown gunmen in Rumuolumeni, Rivers state.
It was reported that the VC was on her way home after the close of work when she was accosted by armed men around the Aker Base area of Rumuolumeni in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
The gunmen, it was gathered had trailed her from the institution’s main campus at Rumuolumeni and overtook her vehicle eventually to kidnap her.
Spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, Ahmad Mohammad, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), confirmed the kidnap, but said no arrest has been made.
