FUTO Suspends Certificate Processing Fee.
The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) Management says the newly introduced certificate processing fee has been suspended.
This was disclosed by the FUTO Registrar, J. U. Nnabuihe, in a statement published online on Saturday.
The registrar stated that the suspension of the new fee is to allow ample time for consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
He said the decision was reached at the 51st Extra-Ordinary Meeting of the school’s management held on Thursday, August 13, 2020.
The statement read in part, “Management decided to suspend the introduction of enhanced security features on our degree certificates as well as the introduction of Certificate Processing Fee.”
Recall that there was an uproar when the university that new graduating students are to pay a processing fee of N20,000 to get the new improved certificate.
