The 2014/2015 academic session best graduating student of the Federal University of Technology Akure, Obakpolor Osakoplo Eki amazed the guests during his valedictory speech at the convocation ceremony of the institution.
Eki, who graduated with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.84 in Physics, told the dignitaries that he failed his first Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2009 before finally gaining admission.
He said it had always been his dream to study Physics because from childhood he has had a passion for the physical world and for the beauty in nature.
Eki thanked his parents Pastor and Mrs. Obakpolor Osakoplo for their spiritual and financial support and said his target is to become an innovative researcher.
Speaking also on his social life, Eki said he only played video games, listened to music and attended church activities, but he never joined any social club in the school.
