A total of 2,675 students will receive their first degree certificates during the 27th Convocation ceremony of the Federal
Speaking at the pre-convocation briefing, the Chairman, FUTA Ceremonials Committee, Prof. James Okunlola said that 28 of the students earned first class degrees.
In a further breakdown of the results, Okunlola said a total of 807 graduating students bagged second class (Upper Division), while 1,324 finished in the lower division of second class. A further 409 graduated with third class and 47 got pass degrees.
He said that a student of Physics Department, Obakpolor Osakpolor Eki, emerged the Best Graduating Student with a cumulative GPA of 4.84.
Prof. Okunlola added that the University will bestow its Honorary Doctorate Degrees in Management Technology on the former Vice-President of the Federation, Dr. Alex Ekwueme (GCON) and the Emir of Bauchi and Chancellor designate of the University, His Royal Highness, Dr. Rilwan Suleiman Adamu, for their immense contributions to the development of Education and the country as a whole.
