The Federal University Otuoke has opened a its brand new Basketball court as the University’s Sports and Recreation Unit organised its maiden Basketball Competition.
The participating teams were drawn among students of the University to show case their talents in preparation towards the Nigerian University Games (NUGA)
The competition tagged “FUO Triple Slam” was organized in a round robin tournament style with four teams; Triple Luck Team, A – Team, A – Team 2.0 and Spartans.
After the rounds of play by the four teams, Spartans and A – Team 2.0 emerged as best teams and went for finals which Spartans defeated A – Team 2.0 with 10-5 points to win the competition.
