FUNAI Admits 1,098 Students for 2015/2016 Academic Session.
The Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo, FUNAI in Ebonyi State, has matriculated a total of 1,098 new students during the 4th Matriculation ceremony of the institution held on Tuesday, 26th January, 2016.
The event also saw the installation of the first Chancellor of the University, in the person of His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, the Alake of Egbaland.
Speaking after his installation, the chancellor thanked the President, Muhammadu Buhari for finding him worthy of such appointment and charged the students to shun cultism and other social vices.
In his reaction, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Oye Ibidapo-Obe, commended the President for his foresightedness in choosing the Monarch as the Chancellor of the institution.
He congratulated the fresh students on their admission and welcomed them into the university.
