FU Kashere Gets N60m Donation From Gombe State Government.
The Gombe State Government has donated the sum of N60 million towards to the Federal University, Kashere.
This was disclosed by the state governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo, at the maiden convocation of the university held on Saturday.
The governor explained that N50 million was for the preparation of convocation, while the balance of N10 million was for the establishment of an endowment fund for institution.
He said the state also donated Gombe State Leventis Foundation Agriculture Training School in Tumu to the university as the main site of its Faculty of Agriculture.
According to him, the state recently made available a site in Gombe for the university to develop its school of General and Preliminary studies.
The Governor thanked the Federal Government for establishing the university in the state and for adequately funding it to reach the level of graduating its first set of students.
Dankwambo congratulated the graduating students for coming this far in their chosen careers. (NAN)
