The Federal Polytechnic Ede chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has embarked on strike to protest the non-implementation of Consolidated Tertiary Institution Salary Structure for lecturers in the institution.
This was announced by the ASUP Chairman in Osun State, Mr. Adeyemi Komolafe, who said that the ‘sit in’ strike action will involve lecturers going to school but not teaching the students.
He said this will continue until the CONTISS 15 is implemented by the school management and the arrears of shortfall in the January and February salaries cleared.
