FCE Zaria Holds 2017/2018 Session Matriculation.
A total of 5,247 students were admitted into the NCE I regular programme of Federal College of Education (FCE), Zaria during the 2017/2018 academic session matriculation ceremony held recently.
Speaking at the event, the Provost of the college, Dr. Ango Abdullahi Ladan, advised the new students to devote their time, energy and commitment to study very hard and learn as fast as possible to become great teachers.
He said the College abhors any form of antisocial behavior like examination malpractice, indecent dressing, associating with unlawful associations and drug abuse.
Dr. Ladan further advised them to shun violence and criminality of any kind and to be mindful of the persons they interact with to ensure their safety.
He however stated that the College in its efforts to digitalize learning, has unprecedentedly launched computer based test in GSE examination which would be applied in the ongoing NCE I first semester examination.
“As you swear and affirm that you will abide by the rules and regulation of the college as enshrined in the students handbook, you must also be reminded of the need that as reputable teacher training institution to watch your moral and social behaviors from today” the Provost stated .
The provost assured of the readiness of the College to provide recreational facilities to the students to enhance their studies.
As we expect to hold our convocation next year, efforts are being made to ensure the College FM and Television are on the air, he added.
