A total of 363 undergraduate students were admitted into the Federal College of Education, Yola degree programmes ran in affiliation with the University of Maiduguri for the 2015/2016 academic session.
Speaking at the matriculation ceremony held recently, the Vice-Chancellor of the UNIMAID, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Services, Prof. Aliyu Shugaba, disclosed that the University of Maiduguri is ready to support the college towards introducing more degree programmes.
The VC pointed out that the university is encouraged by the efforts of the college in upgrading her physical facilities and improving her human resources capacity, thus willing to work closely with college in getting approval for more degree programmes.
Njodi congratulated the new intakes and called on them to be disciplined by shunning all anti social vices as well as protecting college properties.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Provost of the College, Prof. Sa’ad reiterated the commitment of the College toward expanding her facilities and training teachers that the University and the general society will be proud of.
