EKSU Graduates 37 First Class Students During 22nd Convocation Ceremony.
No fewer than 10,206 students will received their first degrees during the 22nd Convocation ceremony of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti scheduled to hold on Friday, 31st March, 2017.
Speaking at the pre-convocation media briefing, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samuel Oye Bandele, said that 37 graduands made First Class degrees in various courses.
In a further breakdown of the results, Prof. Bandele said 1,638 of the graduating students bagged Second Class Upper while a total of 5,395 got Second Class lower. He added that 3,012 got Third Class and 124 students graduated with Pass degree.
In the postgraduate category, The VC said 85 students will get their Professional Masters certificate while 81 graduated in the Ph.D cadre. Also 169 bagged Masters and 63, Postgraduate diploma.
Bandele, who said the convocation would cover 2015/2016 academic session, announced that Miss Damilola Eunice Adedeji of the Department of Plant Science, Faculty of Science emerged the best graduating student with CGPA of 4.77.
He also stated that the EKSU sachet and bottled water project is ready as well as the block making industry, printing press, university bakery and EKSU feedmills at AFAO.
High-point of the briefing was the officiall commissioning of EKSU water by the wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Mrs Feyisetan Fayose.
