Pandemonium broke out at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Jalingo in Taraba State when a female student was caught with two military hand grenades while trying to enter the school premises.
It was gathered that security men doing a routine search at the school gate discovered the explosives inside the bag of the SSI student who was with her father.
The Taraba Police PRO, ASP Joseph Kwaji who confirmed the incident, said that the suspect and her father are currently under custody of the police.

He added that policemen from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit were immediately dispatched to area to recover the weapons.
It will be recalled that a 13-year-old girl putting on an explosives vest was arrested in the northern city of Kano last month by the police and she said her father introduced her to insurgents.
