• The Chancellor of Covenant University, Ota, Dr David Oyedepo, has urged the newly admitted students of the University to stay true to the future they desire to see during their studentship in the institution.

    The Chancellor made this charge at the 14th matriculation ceremony of the institution where 2156 undergraduate students were formally admitted into various programmes of the University.

    Dr Oyedepo, stated that passing through Covenant University secures ones destiny, also emphasised the University’s strong stance on discipline and the role it plays in enabling the students to achieve excellence.

    He also emphasised the importance of time management and reminded the students that time is an asset; some people invest it and some squander it.

    He encouraged them to invest their time in making news for others to watch and wished all the matriculants the very best at Covenant University.

    In his address, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Charles Ayo, said this year’s event was unique being the first time Covenant University has had part time students matriculating.

    Prof. Ayo emphasised the University’s core values of spirituality, possibility mentality, capacity building, integrity, responsibility, diligence and sacrifice.

    He reminded the matriculating students to live as commanded, not as convenient.
