Bayero University Post UTME Candidates Write 2019 Aptitude Test.
A total of 12,209 candidates sat for the Bayero University, Kano (BUK) 2019/2020 academic session aptitude test, which was conducted on Saturday, 17th August.
Speaking during the screening, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) of the university, Professor Adamu Idris Tanko said 15,817 candidates applied to BUK for the 2019/2020 admission exercise, out of which a total of 12,209 participated in the screening exercise, although some candidates might have missed the exercise.
He expressed satisfaction over the general peaceful conduct of the exercise and said that the screening was very smooth while staffs on duty were very dutiful, adding that the exercise started as scheduled without any hitch and no case of examination misconduct was reported.
The Registrar, Hajiya Fatima Binta Mohammed also expressed delight over the arrangements and smooth conduct of the exercise. She stated that more venues were provided to decongest the crowd while two situation rooms were provided one each at old and new campuses to decentralize the coordination of the exercise.
Hajiya Fatima pointed out that the University engaged the services of both teaching and non teaching staff as invigilators, as well as some students, who served as ‘campus guide’ in order to ensure smooth running of the exercise.
Also commenting on the screening, the Director, Centre for Information Technology (CIT), Professor Mohammed Ajiya, said that the exercise could be rated as very successful, as it was stress-free.
He said that the screening exercise was conducted in two sessions, morning and afternoon and candidates were accommodated on the basis of their courses.
Prof. Ajiya said that each candidate was given questions based on his/her registered JAMB courses and the questions were personalized and randomized to avoid any examination misconducts.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Yahuza Bello, who went round the screening venues was satisfied with the arrangement.
