NUC Accreditation Team Visits BUK for MBBS, Other Programmes.
Officials from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on Monday, 28th October, 2019 paid a visit to Bayero University, Kano (BUK) to access facilities for the accreditation of four programmes in the institution.
The programmes being accredited are: Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Science and Technology Education (STE), Fisheries and Aquaculture and Education Geography.
Receiving the visitors, the Vice Chancellor of BUK, Professor Muhammad Yahuza Bello, welcomed them and assured that the University would give them all the necessary cooperation to conduct their assignments successfully.
Represented by the University Librarian, Dr. Musa Audu Auyo, the VC said the University maintains its culture of accepting the decisions of accreditation exercise in good faith, promising that all the observations made would be implemented.
“In the area of strength, we will not relent in our effort to sustain and even upgrade our programmes,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the NUC teams, the leader of STE Team, Professor P.S Yaduma, said they came for a fact finding mission as a result of submissions made to the NUC by the University.
He called for maximum cooperation from all the departments concerned.
