The authorities of Bayero University Kano has expelled three students of the institution for raping a fellow student outside the hostel.
The expelled students are Abdulsalam Abduljalil, Tijjani Mohammed and William Seyi Solanke, all 300-level students of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences.
Confirming the expulsion, the head, Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records (DEAR), Hajiya Fatima Binta Mohammed, said that the management had approved the expulsion of the students because of their heinous crime.
It was alleged that the culprits raped the female student outside one of the female hostels at night while she was reading.
