The Benue State University, Makurdi (BSUM), College of Health Sciences auditorium was nearly destroyed by fire which engulfed the building on Sunday.
The Public Relations Officer of the university, Tse Vanger, who confirmed the incident, said that the cause of the inferno might be as a result of electrical fault.
It took the combined efforts of sympathisers and students to prevent the fire from razing the auditorium.
