African University of Science & Technology AUST Postgraduate Admission Form Released.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into full-time M.Sc./Ph.D. programmes at the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja.
Only applications who meet the requirements specified both as general admission criteria and the requirements specific to the program in which they are interested should apply.
The University offers world-class post-graduate programs that are taught by leading African and International professors in the following areas:
Full-Time Masters:- Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Geoinformatics and GIS, Material Science & Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Pure and Applied Mathematics, Space Physics, System Engineering and Theoretical and Applied Physics.
Weekend Degree Programmes:- Management of Information Technology, Policy and Public Administration.
One Year Course Work programmes:- Applied Statistics and Mathematical Modeling.
Eligibility for Admission:
Since AUST currently offers post-graduate programs only, prospective applicants should already have an appropriate Bachelor’s degree. At a minimum, applicants must have a Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Computational Sciences, Engineering or Physical Science from a recognized university with a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours classification or a GPA of at least 3.5.
Candidates from francophone countries should have a “Maitrise” degree “avec mention bien” or, better still “avec mention très bien”, and have an acceptable level of proficiency in English.
In summary, minimum admission requirements must fall within one of the conditions stated below:
– 1st Class Honours
– Strong Upper Second (2:1 Honours)
– Magna summa cum laude (in the American system)
– Summa cum laude (in the American system)
– Maitrise “avec mention très bien” preferred but “avec mention bien” (in the French system) may be considered
In addition to good preparatory Mathematics courses, students are expected to have knowledge of a modern programming language (e.g. Java, C, C++, and Computer Operating Systems)
Method of Application:
- Application forms must be accompanied by an application fee of $50 or N10,000. Please note that this fee is non-refundable.

- Some scholarships and Fellowships are available for the most highly qualified candidates. Women are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Successful applicants for the M.Sc programs will be notified of the entrance examination date at the appropriate time.

Submission of application forms with the relevant documents will close on Friday, 30th October, 2020.
NB: Scholarship Entrance examination will hold on Saturday, 14th November, 2020 while classes starts on Monday, 11th January, 2021.
