Speaking during the convocation, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Saminu Ibrahim, said that 32 of the graduating students bagged First Class Honours.
He said another 1,203 got Second Class Upper Division while 2,702 in the Second Class Lower Division. A total of 1,481 bagged Third Class and 136 got Pass degrees.
Prof. Ibrahim added that a total 845 graduands received diploma certificates with another 1,620 stdudents bagging post-graduate diplomas and Masters and 85 students as Doctors of Philosophy (Ph.D) graduates.
The VC congratulated the graduating students and urged them to be good ambassadors of the institution.
He said that the institution was constructing six news hostels and renovating the existing ones as parts of students’ welfare package.
