The Provost of Adeyemi College of Education (ACE), Ondo, Prof. Olukoya Ogen, has urged new students of the institution to be of good behaviour during and after their stay in the college.
Prof. Ogen, who made the plea on Wednesday at the orientation programme organised for newly admitted students of the college, advised them to be mindful of the college environment by being security conscious..
The Provost, represented by his deputy, Dr Samuel Akintundem, congratulated the fresh students on their admission into the college and urged them to take their studies seriously to enable them achieve their dreams.
He reiterated the determination of the college to continue to provide basic facilities that would facilitate a good learning environment.
The provost also urged them to work assiduously for good grades so that they could become more competitive in the labour market after the completion of their studies.
In his reaction, the Dean of Students’ Affairs in the college, Mr.Olaniyi Olaluwoye, said the occasion was epoch making and marked the beginning of the journey to greater and fulfilled height by the students.
Olaluwoye advised the students to spend their time wisely and avoid acts that could put them in trouble.
He listed such acts to include cultism, drug addiction, examination malpractice and prostitution. (NAN)
