The Federal Government has approved the release of the sum of six hundred and seventy nine million, six hundred and seventy thousand naira only (679.067m) to Adeyemi College of Education (ACE), Ondo from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) account.
In a statement conveying the information to the the College, the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Dr. A.B. Baffa said that the amount is meant for the year 2016 TETFUND Intervention for execution of projects in the institution.
The statement read; “Dear Provost, further to the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) and in line with the provision of Tertiary Education Trust Fund Act 2011, I write to inform you of the allocation of intervention funds to your institution for the year 2016.
“The breakdown of the allocation of the fund is as follows: Physical Infrastructure/ Program Upgrade – N371.067m; Academic Staff Training and Development – N200m; Library Development – N30m; Conference Attendance – N25m; Teaching Practice – N12m and Institution Based Research – N10m.
“Others are: ICT Support – N10m; Academic Research Journal – N10m; Tetfund Project Maintenance – N8m and financially Academic Manuscript Development – N3m.”
The modalities for accessing the allocated funds have commenced in earnest.
