Ambrose Alli University Gets New Librarian.
The authorities of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma has appointed Dr. (Mrs.) Jane Igie Aba (Nee Okunbor) as the new University Librarian.
Until her appointment, Dr. (Mrs.) Aba was the Deputy Librarian, University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State.
Mrs. Aba was born on 6th July, 1962 in Benin City, Edo State. She attended Ansar-Ud-Deen Grammar School, Lagos State from 1976 – 1981.
She proceeded to Project T.I.M.E. College of Education, Lagos State from 1984 – 1987 and bagged her N.C.E. in 1987.
In quest for more academic experience, she went to Bayero University, Kano from 1989 – 1996 where she bagged her Bachelor of Arts degree in Library Science (BA.LS) and Masters in Library Science (MLS). Thereafter, she proceeded for another Master’s programme in Business Administration (MBA) in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma from 2000 – 2002.
With her un-relentless dogged quest for greater academic laurel, she went for her Doctor of Philosophy programme in Library and Information Science (Ph.D.) in 2007 and bagged her Ph.D. in 2013.
The appointment is for a period of five (5) years and it takes effect from 1st June, 2016.
