A total of 8,167 graduands from the 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 academic sessions will receive their degree certificates during the 19th Convocation Ceremony of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
Speaking at a pre-convocation briefing, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Cordelia Agbebaku, said that some eminent Nigerians will be honoured during the event scheduled for Saturday.
They include the Founder of Believers Love World (BLW) popularly known as Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, who would be conferred with a honorary Doctor of Science and Chief David Edebiri, the Esogban of Benin Kingdom, who would be honoured with Doctor of Letter.
Another is a business mogul, Chief Lee Ikpea, who will bag the Doctor of Business Administration.
She said that a former Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. John Osemeikhian, would be installed as the first Emeritus Professor of the institution.
The VC added that Prof. Gregory Akenzua would be installed as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the university.
