• WAEC GCE Registration 2020 Commences – Second Series.

    WAEC Gce second series 2020 registration details has been announced. The West African Examination Council (WAEC) opened the online registration portal for the 2020 General Certificate Examination (GCE) application on Wednesday, 10th June, 2020.

    The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), started conducting two series of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, since 2018 year. The First Series will be conducted between January and February, while the Second Series will be conducted between August and September every year.

    The WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2020 – Second Series would be an urban based examination with twenty four (24) subjects available for the examination. Intending candidates for the examination are, therefore, strongly advised to visit the link –http://www.waecnigeria.org to confirm available examination towns and subjects before obtaining the registration PIN.

    WAEC GCE Registration Procedure.

    1. Candidates are expected to pay a registration fee of Thirteen Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifty Naira Only (N13,950) at branches of any of the following banks or any accredited agent and obtain the registration PIN and information VCD: ACCESS Bank Plc, First Bank of Nig. Ltd, Sterling bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc, Diamond bank Plc, First City Monument Bank Plc, Polaris Bank Plc, Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, Ecobank Ltd, Guarantee Trust Bank Plc, Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, United Bank for Africa Plc, Fidelity Bank Plc, Heritage Bank Plc, Standard Chartered Bank Plc, Unity Bank Plc, WEMA Bank Plc and Jaiz Bank.
    2. In addition, candidates will be required to pay Five Hundred Naira (N500) commission to the banks/accredited agents.
    3. After obtaining the registration PIN, candidates should log on to https://registration.waecdirect.org for registration. Candidates should also note that the registration procedure has been designed to accommodate biometric features that will be used to validation at the examination centres.
    4. Candidates must conclude registration within two weeks of first access to the website within the registration period. They should ensure that their names, gender, passport photograph, dates of birth and subjects are correct. They are also to print the Admission Notice /Photo Card as evidence of registration. This will serve as their photo card during the examination. The Result Checker PIN will also be on the Photo Card.
    5. Only Digital Personal Scanner should be used for fingerprint registration.

    WALK-IN CANDIDATES: Candidates who wish to enter for the examination at the close of registration can do so as “Walk-in Candidates”, provided they register not less twenty four hour after to the scheduled time of the paper (s) they intend to write. The “Walk-in Candidate” fee is Twentry Five Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N25,000:00) only.

    CANDIDATES WITH SPECIAL NEEDS: Candidates with special needs will also register online like other candidates but they must dearly state their disabilities e.g blind, low vision, spastic, speech, etc.

    Closing Date. 

    Registration for WASSCE for Private Candidates closes Sunday, 15th November, 2020. Please note that registration for Walk-In-Candidates will commence after this period.
