UNICAL Confers Emeritus Professorship on Two Eminent Scholars.
The University of Calabar (UNICAL) on Wednesday 25th May, 2016 conferred the rank of Emeritus Professor on Okuku Professor Akpan Otu and Professor Gabriel Ejezie, both from the College of Medical Sciences who have served the University meritoriously producing several Ph.D, MSC and first degree graduates.
Speaking at the conferment ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of UNICAL, Prof. Zana Akpagu, congratulated the duo for qualifying for such high office.

He explained that as Emeritus Professors, the University will continue to require their services in teaching, research and community service.
The Vice-Chancellor used the occasion to announce the elevation of Dr. Offiong Ani Offiong and Dr. D. D. Eni to the rank of Professor.
Responding on behalf of the recipients, Okuku Prof. Akpan Otu, expressed appreciation to the University for the honour and promised that they would put in their best efforts in the discharge of the new office.
