• A total of 5,975 students would be awarded various degree certificates during the 6th convocation ceremony of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) scheduled to hold this Saturday.

    Speaking during the pre-convocation media briefing, the Vice Chancellor of NOUN, Prof. Abdallah Adamu said twelve of the graduating students bagged first class degrees.

    He said the graduating students are spread across the eight faculties of the institution.

    Prof. Adamu said prisoners who want to study at the university would not be charged tuition fees.

    The VC also disclosed that the law establishing the university was going to be amended to address the contentious issue of its law programme and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) entrance.
