• The 2015 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into Federal Government Colleges and Federal Science and Technical Colleges was held yesterday (Saturday) nationwide.

    The examination which was earlier scheduled for March 21st was postponed till Saturday, April 25th because of the general elections.

    According to the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Dr. MacJoch Nwaobiala, a total of 86,365 candidates registered for the exam.

    The statistics showed that Lagos State topped the list with 25,437 registered candidates while Borno State kept the rear with 55 candidates as a result of security challenges in the state.

    Dr. Nwaobiala said that the entrance examination took place in 420 centers nationwide including Abia, Imo and Taraba, states where supplementary elections were taking place.

    He also assured that adequate security measures where put in place in all the centers, especially in Adamawa, Yobe, Gombe and Borno to ensure a hitch free conduct of the examination.
