Gregory University Uturu Appoints New Vice-Chancellor.
The Governing Council of Gregory University, Uturu in Abia State, has announced the appointment of Prof. Moses Onwukwe Edom Iwuala as the second substantive Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
In a statement signed by the Registrar of the university, Dr. Austin Orisakwe, the new vice-chancellor succeeds the pioneer Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Juliet Elu.
The new VC is a Professor of Biological Sciences and a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), where he obtained First Class Honours Bachelor of Science and attended the University of London for his M.Sc and PhD degrees.
Prior to his appointment, Iwuala was said to have had more than 30 years’ experience in the university system, as an acclaimed academic, and Research and Development expert.
Iwuala, as a Registered Scientific Patent, has over 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications to his credit, mostly in the areas of Parasitology and Vector Biology, Ecology and Control.
