• The management of Delta State University, Abraka has denied the alleged ban of fellowship centres on its campus, saying it only streamlined the number of centres.

According to the Dean of Students, Prof. Timi Akpororho, the decision was made due to the centres’ proliferation and attendant noise pollution, and also in line with the policy guiding students’ activities on campus.

It will be recalled that the University management also banned the wearing of miniskirts by female students of the institution.

This has generated mixed reactions among students and lecturers of the school.
